Zack Thomas Wyrick Jr, 76, passed away on February 27, 2021. He was born on January 15, 1945, in Houston Texas to Zack Thomas Wyrick and Twilight Eugene Wyrick. He grew up in Houston with his four siblings. He was known by everyone as Bill or Pop and was a proud Houstonian. He served his country in the U.S. Army as an electrician and would go on to pursue that trade in life. After the Army, he went to work for Fisk Electric and was a member of local union IBEW 716 for 35 years until retiring. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed racing of all sorts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Zack and Twilight Wyrick; wife, Shirley; siblings, Clara Tippen, Ida Garney, and Louis Wyrick; and grandson, Craig Michael Wyrick. He is survived by his children, Thomas Wyrick, Mary West and Lonnie Wyrick; stepdaughter, Melissa Mitchell, eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Slavens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N Frazier St #115, Conroe, TX 77301. The graveside service will be at 10:45 AM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Houston, TX 77038.
