William E. Zook (Mr. Bill), age 74, passed away on September 4, 2022 in Conroe, TX. He was born February 14, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana
Mr. Bill grew up in a full house. He was the second oldest of a blended family having a total of 13 siblings. Mr. Bill always loved cooking and took interest in learning at the young age of 9. His aunt played a strong role in his teachings, allowing him to work beside her at a local café as a child. He was a jack of all trades learning construction from his father, Henry. Mr. Bill also drove a truck for the carnivals during Nebraska summers, he also loved horses and rode bucking broncos for a while in the local rodeo circuit. He volunteered at the local fire department in Arkansas. Mr. Bill never forgot his first passion, the love of cooking. He has worked, managed, and owned several restaurants throughout the Midwest. In his early years, he fathered five children from previous marriages, four boys and one girl. In 1975, he met the love of his life, Rosie. They had three children together, one boy and two girls. In his free-time, he loved wood-working and creating new recipes. The table was never empty when anyone knew he was cooking up something new.
Mr. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Henry Zook and mother, Mary Totton. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Zook; his children, Billy Zook Jr, Steve Zook, Jeff Zook, Adam Zook, Trish Zook, Timothy Zook, Tina Alcantar and Tamera Bittner; grandchildren, Gregory Zook, Solomon Zook, Cindy Lou Zook, Kalyssa Kessler, Tristen Zook, Shyann Alcantar, Madison Bittner, Makenzie Bittner, Maxon Bittner, Matthew Bittner, Malachi Bittner; great grandchild, Kaylin Kessler; siblings, Judy Waggy, Mike Zook, Patty Perkins, Jeri Lendermon, Ellen Collins, Elaine Lodston, Mark Zook, Linda Perkins, Karen Sheid, Rob Perkins, Andy Zook, Stewart Zook and Rickey Perkins; as well as many relatives and friends that will miss Mr. Bill dearly.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N Frazier St #115, Conroe, TX 77301. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Graveside and burial will take place in Willis Cemetery in Willis, TX.
