WALTER LEE "Pop" SARTON, born May 29, 1927, went home on May 19, 2010, surrounded by his family.� He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stephanie "Penny"; his parents, Ollie and Oleta Sarton; his sister, Alma Broomfield; his brothers, Carl, Herb, and Dan Sarton; and son-in-law, George Pinder.� He is survived by his children, Thad and wife Tina Sarton, Melissa and husband Terry Williamson, Debbie and husband Billy Cupp, and Pamela Pinder, as well as his grandchildren, Brandon and Kaylee Sarton, Maci, Taylor, and Megan Williamson, and Caresia Wallace.� He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Steven and Stephanie Snyder, as well as his brother, Don Sarton, and sisters, Dorothy and Anna Lambert, and Gwen Sarton.� Walt also leaves behind his special friend, Bonnie Rybak, who was by his side throughout his illness.� Walt proudly served in the US Navy during World War II, being honorably discharged in 1947.� He led a long and varied career, retiring from Jacobs Engineering in 1994.� A memorial service celebrating Walt's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 26 at Cypress Creek Christian Church, 6823 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX.
