Vicky Lynn Pace Guthrie departed to her heavenly home on December 8, 2017 at the age of 59 from Conroe, Texas.
Vicky was born to Milton and Joyce Pace on November 24, 1958 in Franklin, Louisiana and grew up in Baytown, Texas with her two brothers. She was a talented pianist and cheerleader. Vicky graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1976 and went on to study at Lee College and University of Houston Clearlake.
Vicky worked in the petrochemical industry and for several law firms in the Houston area including Vinson & Elkins until her retirement from the workforce in 2003 to become a full time mother and wife. She loved Bible prophesy, studying it for over 20 years, and continued to play the piano for family, church, and fun. Vicky was a tenacious crusader for her faith, friends, neighborhood, and any just cause in which she believed.
Vicky is survived by her parents Milton and Joyce Pace; her husband Conrad Guthrie; daughters Kristen Boeker Hudman and Breanna Kristine Guthrie; her brothers, James Bradley Pace and Randall Scott Pace; and four grandchildren, Pace Hudman, Kole Hudman, Annie Kate Hudman, and Hadley Hudman.
As were her wishes, a cremation will take place this week. Close family will gather for a memorial service on March 18, 2017 in Gray, Texas and the scattering of the ashes on Caddo Lake near Potter’s Point shortly thereafter. The family is grateful for condolences, but declines flowers and donations, except to the charity of your choice in her name.
