Tyler John Michaud

Tyler John Michaud, 29, of Willis, Texas, passed away on September 1, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1996, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to John and Tracy Michaud. At the age of five, Tyler moved with his family to Texas, where he would make his home for the remainder of his life.

Tyler attended Montgomery High School and later continued his education at Lone Star College. From an early age, Tyler was exceptionally intelligent and a natural overachiever. His mother fondly remembered how he could make straight A’s without ever seeming to crack open a book, something she jokingly admitted she was always a little envious of. His intelligence extended far beyond academics, as Tyler was naturally mechanical, curious, and gifted at figuring out how things worked.

Tyler worked as an over-the-road truck driver, a career well suited to his independent and adventurous personality. He had a great love for big, fast trucks and loud exhaust, as well as dirt track cars and horses. Mechanically inclined by nature, Tyler enjoyed figuring things out and was constantly looking for a better or more efficient way to accomplish something. He often reminded his family to “work smarter, not harder.”

Those who knew Tyler knew that he never met a stranger. He was outgoing, funny, and a jokester who enjoyed making those around him laugh. He was smart, adventurous, helpful, stubborn, mechanical, humble, and full of life. Tyler also had a special love for children and enjoyed the happiness they brought into his life.

One of Tyler’s most defining qualities was his willingness to help others. He had a genuinely giving heart and believed that if someone needed help, that alone was reason enough to help them. He did not seek recognition or expect anything in return. Tyler simply saw a need and did what he could to meet it. Despite his many talents and abilities, he remained humble and was always looking for ways to become a better person.

Tyler loved Jesus and sought to serve Him throughout his life. His faith was important to him, and he was associated with The Cowboy Church. His desire to help others, his generous heart, and his continual effort to become a better man were reflections of the values by which he tried to live.

Tyler also dearly loved his dog, Rocky, who held a very special place in his heart and was an important companion in his life.

Tyler was preceded in death by beloved members of his family who remained close to his heart and whose memories he carried throughout his life.

Left to cherish Tyler’s memory are his loving parents, John and Tracy Michaud; his wife, Alyssa Michaud; his brother, Nathan; his sister, Amber; his niece, Adisynn Michaud; his grandparents, Jackie and James Michaud, Alice Russell, and John MacInnis; his godparents, Lisa and Tony; his aunts and uncles, Debbie Michaud, Scott Michaud, Lenay Richardson, and Kelly and Keith Ayotte; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and numerous friends.

Tyler will be remembered for his intelligence, adventurous spirit, sense of humor, determination, and his ability to make friends wherever he went. Above all, he will be remembered for his kind and humble heart, his faith in Jesus, and his willingness to help others simply because they needed help. He was always striving to learn, to improve, and to become a better person, and the love and kindness he shared with others will remain a treasured part of his memory.

Tyler’s life was far too short, but the impact he made on his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know him will not soon be forgotten. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
