Tommy Ray Conn

Tommy Ray Conn, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2016. He was born on November 24, 1935 in Rosevine, Texas in rural Sabine County. He moved with his family to Houston and grew up on Crosstimbers and Irvington. He joined the Marines at the age of 15 and was honorably discharged. He met and married Patricia Ann Gardner from Chicago, Illinois. After serving in the military, he worked at Rheems as a fabricator, opened a carpet store, owned two service stations and worked and retired from Kroger. After retirement, he then worked for Continental Airlines as a GSE Mechanic for 13 years before retiring again.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Lewis Conn; mother, Cecil Irene Robertson; and four brothers, Robert, Billy, Wendel and Frank. He is survived by his sons, Tommy Conn Jr. and Michael Conn and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Tommy III, Tonya and husband Mark Gust, Michael Dean and wife Carson Nicole Conn, and Kyle Alexander Conn; and great grandchildren, Jordan and Annalise, Andrew and Larry.
