Terry Lee Thompson passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2021 at the age of 72. Born in Lamesa, TX and dividing his home between Houston & Montgomery, TX. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Valdon & Audrey Thompson; three brothers, J.C. Todd, Jimmy Mac Todd & Valdon Dee Thompson; one sister, Wanda Todd Shaver; and one daughter, Ashley Thompson. He is survived by three children, Jeffrey Thompson and his wife Rebekah, Michele Frederick and her husband Jason, Joshua Thompson; and niece, Cynthia Varner; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Laurallye, Hannah, Amanda, Serenity, Hunter, & Ethan; lifelong friend Charlie Soap; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry started his career in the Navy in 1966 aboard the USS Rigel serving his country that he loved. In 1969 he transferred to the Navy Reserves Inactive Duty, in which he was re-activated in 1991 to serve his country in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. With an honorable discharge in May of 1996, he returned to civilian life to be with his family. Anyone who knew Terry, Uncle T, PawPaw, knew that he loved life and always looked for the good in anything and everyone. He will be remembered for his huge heart, massive smile, words of wisdom and love for his family, friends, and country; he will truly be missed by all.
In honor of Terry Lee Thompson a graveside memorial service will be held (MASK REQUIRED) on Friday, April 23, 2021 @ 1:45 pm at the Houston National Cemetery (VA Cemetery) in Houston, TX, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038, Pastor Don Kidd officiating.
