Susan Kay Stansbury of Shenandoah, Texas, passed away July 24, 2024, at the age of 66. Sue was born June 27, 1958, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Marcella (Hawn) Stansbury and Boyd Milton “Mickey” Stansbury. Sue was beautiful and considerate to all of her many friends in Ponca City and Houston, and to her family. She was an accomplished water skier, scuba diver, and loved to ride her jet ski. She often traveled with friends and had numerous adventures at Lake Powell, in Utah. Sue spent her working years doing everything from grocery checkout to managing a Conoco well core storage facility, and worked with her brother, David, at his oil and gas laboratory. She loved mini Schnauzers and had several over the years.
Sue is survived by her niece, Allison Stansbury, her sister-in-law, Tammy Stansbury, and her loving partner, Bill Hudgins. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, David Lee Stansbury.
Sue was unassuming, and she requested that no services be held. Her remains will be interred at Resthaven Memorial Park, in Ponca City, OK. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (“PanCan”) via
