Susan Kay Schroeder, 65, went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 25, 2026 while at St. Luke’s Hospital in The Woodlands, TX. She was born to her parents Cliff and Della Ann Schroeder on March 1, 1961.
She grew up in Dickinson, Texas before moving to Texas City. She graduated from Sam Houston State with an Elementary Education Degree in 1983 and taught a variety of grades for many years before retiring in 2015.
Livingston, Texas was where she decided to build her home and she loved her neighbors there dearly. She loved quilting, just like her Mother. Crafting and creating with her Cricut machine was her favorite past time. She was always busy making and sending “love ya’s” to her people. Holiday and birthday cards, baby onesies, and family vacation attire were just a few of her specialities. She loved to read and cook and you could always count on Susan to have a delicious recipe ready to send when you needed it. She loved her family and enjoyed spoiling her nieces and grand nieces any chance she got.
She leaves behind her Brother in Law - Wayne Browning married to Amy Browning, 2 nieces - Taylor Schwalm married to Adam Schwalm, and Jaci Pharis married to Jake Pharis, 3 grand nieces - Summer, Sadie and Parker and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by both parents, and her sister Carol Browning - all who we know had the most special reunion together in Heaven with her.
