Susan Marie Brown

Susan Marie (Susie) Brown, age 61, passed away on August 21, 2021 in Conroe, Texas. She was born on July 12, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Iva Ruth (Wilson) and Henry Archie Brown. She grew up in New Waverly and graduated New Waverly High School in 1978. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, G. Michael Brown.

Susie was a hardworking loving person who would do anything for her family or friends. Susie loved the Lord, her family and her country. She was fiercely loyal. You could also say she was a free spirit who made friends easily. If you knew her, you loved her. Always with a smile bigger than Texas and a heart to match! Susie was the “cool aunt” that loved to take her niece and nephews to watch wrestling, the movies, drag races or any kind of sporting event. No matter what any of them were involved in, she was always on the front row cheering them on. She continued this tradition with the next generation with her grandchildren, great nieces and nephew. She will always be remembered for her love of others, and the laughter and joy she brought wherever she went.

Susie is survived by her child, Brandy Killingsworth; grandchildren, Ashlen Jordan, Trevor Killingsworth, Madison Caffee, sisters, Diane Wood and husband Charles, Sandy Glisson and husband Jim, and Brenda Brown; nieces and nephew, Chad and Amy Wood of New Waverly, Wesley and Carey Glisson of San Antonio, Jared and Erica Wood of New Waverly, Eric and Alison Wells of New Waverly, Dustin and Tiffany Glisson of Dallas, Mandy and Tyler Hatch of Conroe; aunt and uncle, Hazel and Joe Franks of San Antonio; as well as many cousins, relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 460 Fisher St, New Waverly, TX 77358.
