Steve Ronald Payne, passed away peacefully at his home in Magnolia TX on May 23, 2017. Steve was born in Maryville, TN on January 29, 1956 to Levi Payne and Elsie Legg.
In his life, he was able to, build a family and a home. His family referred to him as “MacGyver” due to his ability to fix anything. He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, pool, and a Saturday night playing poker. His greatest enjoyment was activities with his sons, particularly boating and skiing. In his professional career, Steve was jack-of-all-trades, but he spent most of his time in HVAC.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; six siblings; and father-in-law Bill Phelps. Steve is survived by his wife Sue; sons, Jeff and Brian, and daughter-in-law, Mari; grandchild Penny; and mother-in-law Pansy Phelps.
