Stephen A. Mclaren

Stephen A. McLaren, age 63, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. He was born on November 28, 1948 in Louisville, KY to Howard Leon and Naomi McLaren. Stephen moved to Texas as a child and graduated from Channelview High School. As a college student he worked at the Astrodome where he met Cassy to whom he was married for 42 years. Stephen received his B.S. Degree from Sam Houston State University. He retired after more than 30 years as an engineer with Southern Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad. He was known as "Mac" to his friends and colleagues at the railroad. Stephen and Cassy have been residents of Conroe for the past 38 years.He is survived by his wife, Cassy McLaren; daughter, Krissi Chambers and husband Aaron; son, Jason McLaren and wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Brooke, Joshua, Mary, Natalie, Jessica and Alyssa; his brother, H. L. McLaren; and his friend, Norm Taylor.
