Stephen D. Barber

On January 11th, 2016, Stephen D. Barber of Conroe, Texas finally gave in to his long fight with diabetes and its associated conditions. Stephen was born on May 2nd, 1951 in Glens Falls, New York. He served in the Vietnam War in the 101st Airborne under the army division from 1971-1972, at the time of his death, he was a disabled Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Anne Barber; both parents, Connie and Raymond Barber; sisters, Linda Baker and Diane Barber, brother David Barber. Steve had several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; all who called him Stevie. He was a very loving and giving person to those he loved, he enjoyed seeing his family when they could come to Texas because he could no longer travel.
May Stephen now be free of his pain and suffering. He will be greatly missed; but never forgotten. May he rest in peace. Per Stephen’s wishes, following cremation, his inurnment will be at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that cards and or donations to help with final expenses be sent to Sarah in care of Eickenhorst Funeral Services.
