Stanley Edward Cook, Sr.

Stanley Edward Cook, 48, passed away suddenly at his home in Porter, Tx on July 1, 2021. He was born in Houston, Texas on January 25, 1973. Stan spent a good portion of his childhood hunting with family and playing football. He continued his passion for hunting well into his adult life. After High school, he went to school to get his CDL and was an 18 Wheeler driver for several years. He chose to give up his career of being a truck driver to stay home to be a devoted husband and father. While at home with his wife and son, he found a passion for driving a tow truck. A lot of friends and other tow truck drivers knew him as “Fester.” He also enjoyed being a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, NRA, and various committees. When he was no longer able to continue working, he got into his newfound passion of playing video games. While playing video games, he made many friends that he was able to connect and keep in touch for the remainder of his life. Stan will always be loved deeply by his family, friends and will be missed for all eternity. He is preceded in death by his father, Willard Edward Cook, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins; survived by his wife Melody J. Cook; son, Stanley E. Cook Jr.; future daughter n law, Bailey A. Gibson; mother, Shirley Walker; brother Jared and Sheryl Cook; mother n law, Linda J. Rutledge; father and stepmother in law, Randy and Annette Wade; brother n law, Kevin L. Wade; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
