Shelly Ilene Taft

Shelly Ilene Schiebel Taft, age 66, of Shenandoah, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on February 28, 2018. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 13, 1952. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands for more than twenty years. More than anything, she will be remembered by her family and friends as a strong, beautiful, fun-loving mother, grandmother, nurse and friend to all who had the privilege to know her.
She will be forever loved and missed by her daughter Melanie Norman and partner Gardner Rowe of Shenandoah, Texas, daughter Susan Smith and husband Terry of Coahoma, Mississippi and son Paul Johnson and wife Amanda of The Woodlands, Texas. She also leaves six grandchildren, Alicia, Matthew, Ashton, Ashley, Olivia, and Emma, whom were her heart and the light of her life. Shelly is survived by her husband Stan Taft of The Woodlands. She is also survived by her parents Chris and Joeann Simpson, brother Steve Simpson and sister Dee Ann Simpson, all of Lambert, Mississippi.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, Conference Room A/B.
