Selah Faith Moyer entered into eternal life in Heaven on November 14, 2013. Selah was born at 8:20am on November 12, 2013 (easily remembered as "11.12.13") at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Selah's name is found commonly in the book of Psalms, meaning "a pause for praise and worship". Her middle name Faith is a tribute to her family's conviction of faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Selah was beautifully created, with soft skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. Her angelic outward appearance defied the typical symptoms of Trisomy 13, the genetic disorder that led to her infant death. Selah was able to spend cherished moments in the arms of family and friends in her short time here on earth, even opening her eyes to see the sun rise across the Houston skyline. Selah is survived by her parents, Jennie and Caleb Moyer; brother, Sutton Luke; and sister, Hannah Sloane. Selah is also survived by her maternal great grandparents, Etta and Glen Beville and maternal great grandmother, Hannah Smallwood; grandparents, Clay and DeEtta Smallwood (Port St. Joe, FL) and paternal grandfather, Bruce Moyer (Sellersville, PA). Selah is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Jody Moyer.
