Sandy Jorgensen went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1948, to John and Gladys Aaland in Grafton, North Dakota. She moved to Colorado Springs in the early 50’s, where she lived with her parents, older sister, Judy and younger sister, Debra.
She met her husband Jim, who was stationed at Fort Carson, in 1968. Jim and Sandy were married in 1969 and shortly after, moved to Houston where she became a paralegal. In 1974, the couple was blessed with their daughter, Candace, and in 1976 a son, Jens.
Sandy loved to play sports and card games, including racquetball, softball, bowling, and swimming. She loved being outside and taking care of her plants and was always happy to cook meals for her family. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch her children and grandsons play soccer, baseball, football and swimming.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Raines and sister in law Carol Dougal. She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Candace Yoffe and spouse Brian, Jens Jorgensen and spouse Anh; grandsons, Cameron and Jason Yoffe and Roland Jorgensen; sister, Debra Sorensen and spouse Joe; brothers and sisters in law, Bill Raines, Diane and Kendall Smith, Bonnie and Herb Elliot, Pat Dougal, Linda and Clark Houston, Sue and Bill King, Sonny and Monique Jorgensen, and their families; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Living Savior Lutheran Church, 309 Pond St, Montgomery, TX 77356. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Come and See Foundation which provides resources, technology, ministry connections and expertise to help The Chosen reach its goal of having a billion people experience an authentic Jesus through this series and related content.
