Sam was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Ann Stitt; father, Marvin Dean Stitt; and mother, Elizabeth Hargrave Debutts Stitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Susan Vammen Stitt of Cypress, TX; brothers, Dan Stitt and wife Millie of Hamilton, KS; John Stitt and wife Joyce of Maud, OK; sister, Mary Marvin Stitt of Conroe, TX; and aunt Francis Hidalgo of Metairie, LA.
