Ruby Rodriguez

With hearts that will never be the same, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Ruby Esparza Rodriguez who entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2026. There are no words that can truly express the depth of our loss. Our mother was more than the heart of our family. She was the glue that held us together. Her love was unwavering, her strength was immeasurable, and her presence made every place feel like home. Though we will no longer hear her voice or feel her embrace, her love did not end on the day she left us. It lives on in the hearts of her children, in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the strength she instilled in all of us, and in every act of kindness inspired by the way she lived. Mom, our hearts will never stop missing you. We will speak your name often, tell your stories with laughter and tears, and love each other the way you taught us. Until the day we are together again, we will carry you with us in everything we do. You were, and always will be, the heartbeat of our family.

She is survived by her children, Oprah Michele Esparza and son-in-law Weylon Jermaine Andrus, Tony Deon Esparza, Elliott Jovan Esparza, Daven Edward Esparza, and Freddie Joe Andrus and daughter-in-law Jasmine Nicole Esparza; grandchildren, Ja’Bari Anthony Rodriguez, Gerardo Jayden Rodriguez, Jaime Lynn Rodriguez, Deon Louis Esparza, Emry Deon Esparza, Jovan Anthony Esparza, Josiah Deon Esparza, and Cameron Andrew Esparza; sisters, Susan Esparza Fernandez and her husband, Jeff Fernandez, and Rosemary Esparza; and brother, Arthur Esparza and his wife, Tina Wilcox Esparza.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “Bubba” Wilson; parents, Josephine Ramirez Esparza and Lazaro Almarez Esparza; and sister, Melinda Esparza Martinez.
