Rose Marie Maddux

Rose Marie Davis Maddux of Spring, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 84. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family remained the center of her life.

Rose was known for her warmth, her humor, and her steadfast affection for her children—even when life kept everyone busy. She often said she always loved her children and tried to understand when they could not be near. Those who knew her best remember a woman who found joy in simple gatherings, Sunday meals, shared laughter, and the hope of a happy goodbye.

She was preceded in death by her son Timmy Lee Maddux, who died at the age of three, and by her sisters Glenda Maddux and Francis Feist. She is survived by her children Randy Joe Maddux, Sheila Psencik, Michael Glen “Mickey” Maddux, and Melissa Ann Jecmenek; by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she counted as among her greatest blessings—eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Rose took special pride in the care and kindness of her family. She called her youngest daughter, Melissa, her “rock,” and cherished the Sundays Melissa cooked for her. She was grateful for Jerry’s kindness, for Randy’s generosity when she needed help, for Mickey’s humor and willingness to show up whenever she asked, and for Sheila’s words of love across the years.

In accordance with her wishes, Rose asked that her wake be a happy time. She requested the songs “I Believe” (Frankie Laine)—her father’s favorite, played at his funeral—and “That Lucky Old Sun” by Willie Nelson. She wrote that heaven was waiting for her.

The memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 12412 FM 2854 Rd, Conroe, TX 77304.
