Rodica “Runa” Lascar was born on February 25, 1958 in Barlad, Romania to her mother, Lidia and her father, Cezar. Runa passed away on September 20, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was 65 years young after a tough battle with breast cancer.
Runa is survived by her daughter, Miruna Ouatu-Lascar; her husband, George Triadafilopoulos, and her step-children, Thano Triadafilopoulos and Juliana Triadafilopoulos Siliezar; her daughter-in-laws, Tamara Luciano and Nikki Triadafilopoulos and son-in-law Christopher Siliezar; her grandchildren, George, Fotis, and Thanouli Triadafilopoulos; and her sister Simona Lascar and niece, Flavia Jordan. She will also be dearly missed by her former husband, Mircea Ouatu-Lascar, closest friend Mircea Panduru, and countless dear friends and colleagues.
Runa was a dedicated Doctor of Internal Medicine who practiced for over 30 years. She began her career serving small villages in the countryside of Romania. She later moved to the United States where she continued her commitment to practice medicine first in Michigan, and then settling in California at Mills Peninsula Hospital.
She was an avid traveler, exploring the world with excitement. Runa was also a fashion icon, adorning herself in the most beautiful garments and accessorizing in her beloved David Yurman jewelry. With her keen eye she collected the finest of art, with her sharp mind she read many a novel, and with her soul she loved very deeply, especially her Bebelino.
Runa will forever be in our hearts and we will carry her effervescent spirit with us always.
