Robert Scott Turner, age 52, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2022 in Shenandoah, Texas. He was born on April 27, 1970 in Houston, Texas. Scott was raised in Spring Branch and Stafford, Texas. At a young age, they loved camping in Bear Creek, and he loved to watch Dukes of Hazard.
Scott truly enjoyed a cold Coca-Cola, NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, Sr., outdoors and above all, his family. Anyone who was close with Scott would agree that he gave the best bear hugs. Every time he hugged you, it would be followed by a scruffy kiss on the cheek. Scott was an extremely hard and dedicated worker. He would do anything to help anyone. Scott loved sharing trivia facts. Anywhere he went to visit, he knew history about the area. Scott was more than proud to be a father, even more he enjoyed being a grandfather. His grandkids referred to him as “Goonpah” and "Pawpa."
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Priest; and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He is survived by his children, Ashleigh Robyn Maria Draper and husband Bryan James Draper, Brandi Heather Nicole Turner and spouse Curtis Anthony Araujo, Chaz Zachary Turner and wife Hannah Marie Turner; grandchildren, Joshua, Hayleigh, Matthew, Elleigh, Jameson, Easton, Landon and Octavia; father, Charles Ed Turner; stepmother, Freda Turner; siblings, Eddie, Samantha, Paul, Brady, David, Jim, John and Jason; aunt and uncles, Charley Turner, Clifford Bryant, Charles Bryant and Robert Bryant; partner, Karen Stanley; as well as many relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
