Robert Allen "Ike" Eichelberger

Robert Allen “Ike” Eichelberger passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2017. He was born on April 17, 1937 to Gordon and Katherine Jane Eichelberger in Mansfield, Ohio. Ike grew up and graduated high school in Ohio. After high school Ike joined the U.S. Air Force and went on to Ohio State University for two years and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Washington State College. He had a prestigious career and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1985.

Ike is preceded in death by his parents Gordon Eichelberger and Katherine Jane Wilcox Eichelberger and sister Sharon Keplinger, and Charlene Hudgens along with his first wife Irene Sutter Eichelberger.

Ike is Survived by his wife Annette Kelly Eichelberger, his children Roberta Santana and Husband Henry, Rebecca Eichelberger, Craig Eichelberger and Drue Eichelberger and wife Amanda. Along with his bonus children Mike Kelly and wife Marie, Mark Kelly and wife Tanya, Lynne Kelly, and Lisa Page and husband Barry. Grandchildren Stephanie Peterson and husband Kris, Gabrielle Santana, Noah Santana, Evelyn Eichelberger and great-granddaughter Lorelai Peterson. Bonus grandchildren Amanda Walsh and husband Justin, Jacob Kelly and wife Ashli, Luke Kelly, Sean Kelly and wife Lauren, Kara Kelly, Samantha Hoenig, Dylan Page and bonus great-grandchildren Grace Walsh, Hailee Walsh, Logan Walsh, and Eli Walsh. As well as a sister Betty Trainor, and nieces Vickie Shifflet, Susie Kurtz, Terry White, Jackie Trainor, Michelle Luciano and nephew Chuck Sprunger.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations to be made to Unity Circle of Light Church in The Woodlands, or any charitable organization you choose.
