Robert William Dinklage (Bob) was born in Houston, Texas September 30, 1935 to Christof and Ida Dinklage. He passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023 in Tomball, Texas.
Bob was a member of Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Conroe, Texas and a man of deep faith. Bob served as a veteran, beginning his career in the Texas National Guard, 49th Armored Division, followed by active duty in the Artillery and ending his service in the 82nd Airborne as a US Army Paratrooper. Bob was an adventurer and loved traveling the world. His favorite spots to visit included Islamujeres, Mexico and Caye Caulker, Belize. Bob had a strong love of family and was the happiest when spending time vacationing with relatives, especially fishing in Rockport, sightseeing and hiking the Grand Canyon and camping at Lake Buchanan. Bob was an accomplished author of the best seller titled "I Finish Nothing" and had most recently been working on the highly anticipated follow up volume "Missing Pieces". One of his many talents included refurbishing a sailboat and exploring the Caribbean Sea with a friend. Bob enjoyed keeping the cards and dominoes at the ready to earn the coveted title of Champion. And beware, if you were a child, he could make you believe the tallest tales ever told. His smile was infectious and he always had a sparkle in his eye.
