Richard Scott Bailey, son of Charles and Alba Bailey of Spring, TX, passed away on March 24, 2026, in The Woodlands, TX. Richard was born December 15, 1977, in Anaheim, California. He lived in Fullerton, California for about 2 years and then moved with his family to Tucson, Arizona, where he lived most of his life. He moved with his parents to Spring, Texas in 2017.
Richard was diagnosed with autism just before he turned 3 years old and suffered his whole life with significant developmental disabilities. He lived with his parents until he was 45 and lived the last few years of his life in two different group homes. He attended special education classes during his public school years and then attended a few different day programs for handicapped people. He enjoyed swinging on a swing, swimming, and the outdoors and learned to do a few simple chores at home. He had some happy days and some that weren’t too happy, but he benefited from many loving teachers trainers and caregivers throughout his life.
He is survived by an older brother Edward Bailey of Rochester, MI, twin brother Walter Bailey, younger brother Evan Bailey, and his parents Charles and Alba Bailey, all of Spring, TX.
