Rebecca Jacks

March 15, 1945 — August 20, 2022

Rebecca Lynn Jacks, better known to friends and family as Becky was born March 15, 1945, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Becky moved to Centerville several years ago, a small town between Houston and Dallas. Coming from Houston to Centerville was quite a culture shock. She moved down the street from her sister, Glenda, who she loved so much and enjoyed being so close with. In a small town they did what you do they enjoyed each other’s company, a great cup of coffee and catching up on the town news. She didn’t know it when she moved to Centerville, but Becky would come to love the small-town life, knowing her neighbors, and having her sister so close.

Before moving to Centerville, Becky’s life was very full. She loved her family with fierce determination. She was blessed to be close to and loved by three generations that included her daughter, both her granddaughters and her great granddaughter. She loved her son-in-law like he was her own, he was always so gentle with her, and she knew he loved her and she him. Conversations and coffee around the dining room table will be greatly missed.

Becky was a savvy businesswoman and worked hard in her career to move up the ladder. She started as a part time leasing consultant and worked her way to Regional Vice President for Kaplan Properties. Not being content with that she opened Terra Real Estate Management. Owning her own business allowed Becky to help many women and men start a career that would allow them to grow and themselves follow a path to upper management. Her daughter Tracy was one of them and could often be heard giving credit to her mom for all she taught her.

During Becky’s later life, she suffered with several illnesses, including mental health issues. The family will always be grateful to her extended family at Willis Nursing Home & Rehab for all they did to assist her during those difficult times.

Becky was preceded in death by her father Ed Clifton; mother Lenell Rogers Clifton; sister Glenda Blackwell; and brother Woody Clifton. She is survived by her daughter Tracy Orn and Son-In-Law Curtis Orn, Jr. Her Granddaughters, Sheena Orn and Haley Orn; Great Granddaughter Amya Orn; sisters Joann Kotal and Cynthia Marsh. Becky had several nieces and nephews that she loved very much, including Randy Schoenberg and James Smith that both preceded her in death.
