With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Rebecca Lynn Coker, who left this world on March 18, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital after a courageous battle with Hemolytic Anemia, an unforgiving autoimmune disease. She was 50 years old.
Rebecca was the beloved daughter of John (deceased) and Vicki Jordan and was raised in West Virginia alongside her two brothers, David and Johnny. Rebecca also cherished the time she spent with her younger brother Johnny’s wife, Heather, and their children, Leighton, Alexis, and Preston, creating treasured memories together. She shared 20 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Tyler Coker, and was a loving mother to her two daughters, Megan and Jaden. Her greatest joy came from being "Gammy" to her cherished grandchildren, Aiden and Willow, whom she adored beyond measure.
A woman of determination and passion, Rebecca pursued her calling in the funeral profession, graduating from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in December 2019. With unwavering dedication, she built a thriving career, rising to the esteemed role of embalmer and funeral director. She touched countless lives with her compassion, treating every family she served with kindness, respect, and empathy. Her work family at Eickenhorst was incredibly dear to her, and she poured her heart into every life she honored.
Rebecca was the embodiment of love and resilience. She was a vibrant, free-spirited soul who found joy in the simple moments—game nights with her daughters, spoiling her grandchildren, and cherishing time with those she loved. She fought bravely, never allowing her illness to define her, always putting the happiness of others before her own struggles. Rebecca had a laugh so infectious that it was impossible not to join in. Her joy was contagious, filling every room with warmth and light. Her laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of hearing it.
Rebecca was truly one in a million—a radiant light in the lives of those who knew her. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void, but her spirit, love, and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
