Raymond Ace Helton

Raymond Ace Helton, age 80, passed away unexpectedly in Conroe on April 14, 2014. He was born on May 29, 1933 in Dallas. He moved to Houston and graduated from Jeff Davis High School before serving his country in the US Navy. Raymond spent over 20 years as a Houston Police Officer before retiring. He was a member of the Retired Police Officers Association, lifetime member of the Houston Gun Collectors Association and the Texas Municipal Police Association. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Anna Helton; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Neal Ruffer; and beloved dog Baby Girl. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; children, Richard Helton and wife Risa, Sherry Roberds and husband Ray, Judy Holm, Ernest Buys and wife Linda and Rhonda Sorrells and husband Jimmy; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. A private, family celebration will be held at a later time.
