Rae Brooke Massey, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2019. She was born on August 14, 1979 in Austin, Texas and was raised in San Antonio. She graduated from Edison High School in 1996 and attended the Job Corps Center and the Texas Medical Career Institute.
A “Gypsy” in every sense of the word, she traveled to many locations throughout her childhood and adult life. She had a difficult life, which made her strong yet she still had a big heart and was very giving. She was always helping everybody and was loved very much by many. She had a writer’s mind. She was also a warrior and was very proud of her country. She joined the Army to serve her country. She owned a domestic and maid service and longed to be part of mounted Search and rescue.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daylin Massey; grandparents, William and Dorothy McMeans; grandfather, Malvin Bradley; aunt, Sharon McMeans; uncle, Randy McMeans; and cousin, Forrest Dee Baker. She is survived by her wife, Sharon Faulkner; mother, Susan McMeans; father, Earl Massey and wife Maria; grandmother, Argentina Bradley; siblings, Amber Massey, Bonnie Guajardo, Twyla Herron; Sara Hassani; Sandra Herron; Gigi Hassani; Joseph Adam Revet and Shane Revet; aunts, Elain Baker and Lori Gail Parker-Riley; and her furbaby, Angelina.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project and Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Recovery.
