Phyllis Ann Lippitt, age 90, passed away on April 24, 2018 in Conroe, Texas. She was born on April 22, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1946. She worked as a clerk at 4th National Bank in Tulsa and also had her commercial truck drivers license. Phyllis enjoyed water skiing, bird watching, gardening, swimming, bowling, reading and playing slot machines. She served as a former member of the Strang, Oklahoma Volunteer Fire Department and the Strang Election Board. A spirited and strong-willed but kind-hearted woman of faith, she was a member of Spirit of Joy! Lutheran Church in The Woodlands, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee H and Cora Brunkhurst; husband, Orville Lippitt; and brother, James Brunkhorst. She is survived by her only child, Steve Shores and his wife Kristine of The Woodlands; stepdaughter, DeAnn Knox and husband Kurt of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Spirit of Joy! Lutheran Church, 7550 Crownridge Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77382. Graveside Celebration of her Life and burial of her ashes will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spirit of Joy! Lutheran Church.
