Philip Scott Corley, 45, passed away suddenly on August 28, 2021 at home on Lake Conroe, Texas.
Philip was born in Houston, Texas and attended school in Klein ISD. In his early twenties, he moved to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico to work at a resort. He learned to speak fluent Spanish but, most of all, he gained a love of the ocean and it became the place where he felt most at home and the most connected. His life took him to Saint Maarten, Puerto Vallarta, Virginia, South Carolina and Galveston but, most recently, he made his home at Lake Conroe.
He was a kind and gentle man who tried throughout his life to help anyone in need, even when his own resources were limited.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hazel and Junior Corley, Norma Williams Herron, Robert Lamar Austin, Percy and Tera Williams and Bob and Jeanella Austin.
He is survived by his children, Baley, Taylor and Emma; by his parents, Larry and Ann Corley, of Conroe; his sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Bobby Brown of Montgomery; his niece, Ashtyn Brown; nephews, Grant and Blake Brown; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, and special friends of the family, Dr. Tricia Adcock and her husband Stephen.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 3201 N. Loop W., Conroe, Texas 77304.
