Nancy Kay Johnson

Nancy K. Johnson went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 20, 2012. Nancy was born on a dairy farm near Francesville, IN on July 17, 1943. Being the oldest child, Nancy worked on the farm daily by milking 40 heads of cows and tilling the soil on 80 acres. She married at an early age to Joseph Nicolas, and they had three beautiful children together before their marriage was dissolved after six years. She married Jeffrey A. Johnson, and their union produced three beautiful sons. Their marriage lasted 43 wonderful years. Nancy worked all of her life at various jobs; waitress, plant assembly lines, Conroe ISD, and hospitals in TX. She retired from The Woodlands Hospital. She loved farming and the outdoors, but her true love was her family eternal. Nancy was blessed by being a wonderful mother and is survived by her many descendants: daughters, Denise Beckner and Kathy Zellers of Winimac, IN; sons, Jim Nicolas of Winimac, IN, Jeffrey V. Johnson, Rex Johnson, and Craig Johnson of the Houston area; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Myrna Horner of LaPorte, IN, Betty Murphy of Cincinnati, OH, and Pauline Chiz of Hickory, NC; and brother, Paul Thomas of Winimac, IN.
