Monica Kay Warnken passed away peacefully in Conroe, Texas on April 29, 2018. She was born October 28, 1956, in Shreveport, Louisiana, but grew-up in the Denver area. In 1989, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she soon met the love of her life, Dean Warnken, and they were married three years later. Just two years later, in 1994, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where they welcomed their daughter, Jessica Warnken - her Mother's Pride and Joy. Monica had often proclaimed, "Giving Birth to Jessica was the Happiest Day of My Life." Over the next 20 years, Monica and her family would live in such distant exotic locales as: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, India and eventually back to the Houston area.
Monica is survived by her beloved husband and daughter, Dean and Jessica Warnken. She is also survived by her mother, Marie Weaver, her sisters, Tina Carver and Patricia Burlingame, and by Bonnie Hahn and her brother, Terry Weaver. She was preceded in death by her father, Garth. A private funeral service will be held in Denver, and in lieu of flowers, Monica's family would appreciate a donation to the American Cancer Society.
