Mildred M. Van Horn

Mildred M. Van Horn was called home by her heavenly father on the evening of December 9, 2015 in The Woodlands, TX. She was born on September 7, 1922 in Bethlehem, PA to Carrie & Mayne Moyer.
Millie excelled in sports and academics graduating as class Valedictorian of Nazareth High School. Millie worked at the Nazareth Mills and met her husband, William Van Horn at a dance. They were married on December 15, 1943 and he was drafted in the army a few months later. During this time, Millie was a plane spotter and would sit in the church temple looking for planes during World War II.
Millie loved reading, playing bridge, crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, bowling and being a grandmother!
Her parents and two brothers precede her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, William Van Horn; daughter Andrea Wright of Double Oak; son Christopher and wife Patti of The Woodlands; and grandchildren, Katie, Andrew and Tyler.
A family ceremony will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. www.alz.org .
