Miguel Juan Flores, MD

Dr. Miguel Juan Flores Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on March 8th of 2026 in hospice in The Woodlands, Tx after a short battle with cancer. He was born on February 3, 1951, in Saltillo, Mexico to his late parents Elma and Miguel Juan Flores.

As a quirky, yet creative young man, Miguel loved reading, playing tennis, and was Texas All-State for both the trumpet and french horn. But what really made him happy was helping people, which is why instead of becoming a professional musician, he pursued medicine. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio Medical School in 1979 and practiced Family Medicine for over four decades. He had a successful family practice in Conroe, Tx as one of the first Spanish speaking family doctors in the area.

When Miguel wasn’t at the clinic, you would probably find him on the tennis courts. He was a fanatic when it came to tennis, but he was also enthusiastic about bringing other tennis players together. Over a few years, Miguel amassed quite a few friends and accidentally founded a community of over 150 tennis players of all skill levels. He also enjoyed learning new skills on YouTube for DIY projects and honey-dos, and riding around on his tractors during the day, and sitting back and watching rom-coms, science fiction, and fantasy shows at night.

He might have been a busy man with work and a lot of interests, but he was a devoted, loving husband and father. Miguel leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Diana Flores, John Flores; son, Jennifer Flores; daughter and Joseph Flores; son.
