Melvin Marvin Feagin

January 12, 1929 — December 21, 2016

Melvin M. Feagin, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 21, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Lena Feagin; siblings A. J. Feagin, Lillian Shackle, and Bobby Feagin. Melvin was born on January 12, 1929 in Waller County, Texas and attended Waller High School. He played sports and received a scholarship for football. He flew his own plane when he was sixteen. One of the main things he loved dearly was wood working and he helped his father with many projects. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Melvin spent 40 years of his professional career with Gulf States Utilities/Entergy. Similar to his childhood, he enjoyed creating special projects for his children and grandchildren. Melvin was a firm believer in God and was a proud Christian. Melvin is survived by his wife Pauline Feagin; children Patti Sexton, Donna Lentz, and Terri Quertermous; grandchildren Jon C. and Joshua Fultz, Jennifer Jarvis, Leslie Fields, Britney and Roxanne Quertermous; great-grandchildren Elizabeth Cobb, Jackson Fultz, Jadyn Fultz, Kara Fields, and Hannah Fields.
