Melody Faye Ammons, 64, passed away peacefully at her home in Conroe, Texas. She was born in Jacinto City, Texas October 19, 1959 to parents James Currie and Vivian Taylor.
She was a kind, compassionate and understanding woman. Family oriented and a cornerstone of the family. She spent most of her life taking care of others. She had a brilliant mind and remembered
everyone and everything; birthdays, anniversaries, events and so much more. If you had a questions or concerns, Auntie Mel had the answers.
Melody leaves behind her son, Bruce Gordon; three grandchildren, Chandler Gordon, Danika Gordon, and Ambriella Baggett; brothers, Jerry Currie, Monte Currie, Michael Hamby, Wade Hamby, and James Ammons; sisters, Alice Renee Hamby and Linda Ammons. As well as more family
than can be listed.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Michael Ammons; both her parents; mother and father-in-law, Thelma Ammons and Horace Floyd Ammons; sisters, Janice Cooper and Kimberly Luther; brothers, Dusty Hamby and Robert Ammons.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 12412 FM 2854 Rd, Conroe, TX 77304. The link for the livestream is listed below:
