more than 20 years as a speech therapist for children in the Houston area. In the latter part of
her career, she worked with elderly stroke patients and adults suffering from head injuries. The
compassionate care and professionalism with which she treated her patients was
extraordinary.
Missy was a devoted Christian and accepted Christ as her Savior at the young age of twelve. She
remained faithful in her walk with God throughout her entire life. She served Him and reflected
Him daily in the way she loved and cared for others selflessly, including spending more than a
decade of her life as her mother’s full-time caregiver following a massive stroke.
She was a talented artist particularly with painting and ceramics. Missy was a wonderful cook
and enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her home. She was also an enthusiastic gardener
and received much joy from growing flowers and fruit trees from tiny seedlings. She started a
successful children’s clothing business called Missy & Me and sold her products at multiple craft
fairs around the Houston area for many years. Missy loved to travel and visited many places
including: Europe, Canada, San Diego, and Boston.
A memorial service to celebrate Missy and honor her life will be held on Saturday, June
22,2024, at 11am at Woodlands Bible Church- located at
