Maxine Christine Marie Daily

Maxine Christine Marie Daily was born on October 18, 1933, in Jesup, Iowa, to Elvin and Edna Hebell, and passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on December 27, 2025, in Magnolia, Texas.

Maxine was married to the love of her life, John “Jack” Daily, for 62 years. Together, they built a life grounded in love, devotion, and family. They moved to Houston, Texas, where they raised their three children, and later retired to Mission, Texas, where they formed a close-knit community of friends who truly became family.

Maxine and Jack loved spending time with family and friends while traveling in their RV. They enjoyed dancing, visiting loved ones, and making memories wherever the road took them. You could often find Maxine with her favorite margarita in hand, sharing laughter and stories.

Maxine lived by the motto “Live, Love, Laugh,” and she truly lived it to the fullest. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her grandchildren deeply and took great pride in her family. Her love, laughter, strength, and infamous whistle will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children John (Tom) Daily-Kirkdorffer, Tom (Kristie) Daily, and Theresa (Bob) Jones; her grandchildren James (Lauren) Daily, Brian (Emily) Jones, Amanda (Abraham) Duran and Steven Jones; and her great-grandchildren Rikki Daily, Penelope Jones and Elizabeth Jones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John “Jack” Daily; her parents Elvin and Edna Hebell; and her siblings, along with many family members and friends who welcomed her home.

Her legacy of love, joy, and family will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of life will be held in Magnolia, Texas, with a date to follow. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Jack, in Waterloo, Iowa.
