Mary Ann Zalesky, age 72, passed away on March 4, 2017 after battling cancer. She was born on June 3, 1944 in Palestine, Texas. Growing up, she took hours and hours of long walks with her sisters. She was a dedicated and loving sister, mother, and grandmother and a friend to all with whom she came in contact. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She spent her life as a dedicated, licensed and commissioned security officer dedicating her professional career to the safety of others. She also had a fond love of animals and had brought all types of animals home.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Springer; father, Reed Martin; son, Tyson Romine; and sisters, Katherine “Tootsie” Woverton and Dorothy “Dot” Barber. She is survived by her children, Gerald Beckwith, Timothy Beckwith and Steven H. Romine; grandchildren, Megan Beckwith, Ashley Scott, Ian Romine, Faith Romine, Katie Romine, Gabriela Romine, Timothy Beckwith Jr. and Natasha Beckwith; five great grandchildren; and her sister, Lillian Dunklin.
