Mary Gail Bain

Mary Gail Bain, 73, passed away at her home on February 17, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Peggy DeTolly. Gail was born on March 19, 1943, in Newport News, Virginia. She was raised in a military family, and they moved often. Gail grew up in Virginia, Georgia and Alabama. She also spent several summers on her grandmother’s farm in Pennsylvania. Following high school and a few years of working in retail, Gail moved across the country to join her parents in Bellevue, Washington. After arriving Gail worked as a dental assistant in Redmond, Washington. Within a few years, Gail married and had her daughter, Mary Mike Miller. In her professional career, she worked as an office manager for a dentist in Bellevue, Washington and then spent the last 15 years of her career in retail management at Stein Mart. Gail is survived by her daughter Mary Mike Miller; grandchildren Madison, Emma, Graham, and Easton Miller; and granddog Sophie.
