Martina Rivera Tristan, age 73, passed away on November 7, 2017. She was born on November 11, 1943 in San Luis, Mexico. With her small town upbringing, she had high hopes and dreams for her children and was a true warrior of great living. She was a loving, Christian woman who was hard working, generous, ethical, discerning, reliable and of high morals which she strove to instill in her children. She always took great care of her children, grandchildren and siblings while maintaining a humorous nature. She was always acutely aware of everyone’s needs and found a way to meet them. Raising her children, she was inventive as an entrepreneur and caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Rivera; father, Martin Tristan; mother, Prisca Tristan; her sister, Esperanza Garcia; and her brother, Ignacio Tristan. She is survived by her children, Rosie Elena Diaz, Sonia A. Delgadillo, Felipe Rivera, Juan Rivera and Joaquin Rivera; grandchildren, Natly Diaz, Gabrielle Eleyna Diaz, Edward J. Diaz, Tony Torres, Ivan (Nicky) Torres, Christian Torres, Kristen Rivera, Lauren Rivera, Madi Rivera, Alan Rivera and Benjamin Rivera; and her siblings, Socorro Reyes, Gabriela Tristan, Manuela Zamora, Tiburcio Tristan and Felipe Tristan.
