A much loved father, son, uncle, brother and friend, Mark Travis Broughton of Spring, TX passed away unexpectedly on January 20th, 2026. He was 26 years old.
Mark was born at 7:22 a.m. on January 20, 2000, in The Woodlands, Texas. He graduated from Spring High School in 2018, where he was a proud member of the percussion section of the Spring High School Marching Band.
Following graduation, Mark worked several demanding jobs, demonstrating a strong work ethic and determination. In 2024, he completed the Advanced Training in Defense Manufacturing Welding Program.
Mark was employed by Rayco, Inc, as their Site Manager where he oversaw multiple crews and was responsible for ensuring project stability and successful completion. He was respected for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to his work.
Mark was strong in his faith for our Lord and Savior and he often posted scriptures to help him and others through their day. He would lead us in the blessing for meals and it was always the most beautiful prayers from his heart.
Mark is survived by his parents, Carl and Stephanie Broughton of Spring, TX; his brothers, Scooter Broughton and his wife Rachel, and their children Chase and Emily of Williamsburg, VA; Mitch Broughton and his wife Jordan of Anchorage, AK and Talon Broughton of Houston, TX. Other surviving family members include his aunts and uncles - Crystal Barker; John and Jill Barker; and Milton and Lori Barker - as well as numerous cousins.
Most importantly, he is survived by his beloved two-year-old son, Liam Wolfgang Broughton of Spring, TX. Liam was the center of Mark’s heart, and the two shared an unbreakable bond. Mark’s greatest joy in life was being Liam’s father. He is also survived by Desiree Washington of Spring, TX, the mother of his son, with whom he shared a deep love and commitment to their son.
Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy Barker and Barbara Fountain, and his paternal grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Broughton, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Above all, Mark’s legacy lives on through his son, Liam, who will grow up surrounded by the love, stories, and memories of a father who adored him beyond measure. His family will forever cherish the laughter, strength, and warmth he brought into their lives. Though his time here was far too short, the impact of his love will continue to guide and comfort all who knew him.
The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 12412 FM 2854 Rd, Conroe, TX 77304. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Mike Evans officiating.
*In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation to Mark’s memorial fund, which will be used to offset some funeral expenses. The remaining proceeds will be set aside to support his son, Liam's future needs.
