Marilynn Miller Brantley passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the age of 81. She was born on October 3, 1941 in Austin, Texas to Roy and Ethel Miller, and was one of seven children. Marilynn is proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Lorraine Crow, Maxine Roby and Mary Frances Loper, brothers Michael Roy and Donald Ray Miller, her son Marlin Wayne Brantley and grandson Robert Devin Wenzel. Marilynn is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Mack “Don” Brantley, sister Carol Bullard, children Dennis, Robin, Scott and Tammy, grandchildren Dennis, Jr., Kaine, Bradley, Delilah, Meagan and Dustin, and great grandchildren Caleb and Alexandra along with many nieces and nephews.
Marilynn grew up in and around the Austin area and raised her family in Houston before relocating to Hilltop Lakes, where she and Don spent more than 30 years. She retired from Wal-Mart after 17 years of service, where she made lifelong friendships. In her younger days she enjoyed bowling and playing cards with sisters and close friends. She like playing dominos and “Back Ally Bridge” and never met a game of Spider that she couldn’t beat! She loved fishing, listening to her brother sing and spending time with family the most. Marilynn enjoyed a very close relationship with her siblings throughout her life. She will be dearly missed.
