Lynae Rae Freund of The Woodlands, Texas, the daughter of Raymond H and Mary Arndt, died of pancreatic cancer on Monday, June 25, 2018.
Lynae was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 30, 1962. She attended St. Marks Elementary School in Kenosha before her family moved to Trevor, Wisconsin, where she graduated from Central High School. Lynae was very active in sports throughout school and this love continued into her adulthood.
She married Rolan Freund on April 20, 1985 in Fox Lake, Illinois. To this union, two daughters were born, Christin Hailey Chambers and Kaitlin Nicole Freund. This union dissolved and Lynae married Linda Keller on February 20, 2014.
Lynae was very involved in her daughter’s lives, especially when it came to sports. She was an energetic person, constantly on the go. When she put her mind to something, she saw it through. An example of this was when she decided to become a volunteer fire fighter for the Woodlands Fire Department. Lynae excelled at this as she did everything and was Reserve Firefighter of the Year in 1997.
Lynae was a warm and generous woman who loved her family and friends dearly. With her big smile and a positive and caring attitude, she befriended everyone she met. Her joy and strength were infectious and she never gave up hope in her fight against cancer.
She is survived by her wife, Linda Keller of The Woodlands; daughter, Christin Hailey Chambers and her husband Kyle and their two sons, Lucas and Jackson, of Conroe; daughter, Kaitlin Nicole Freund of The Woodlands; sister, Terri Arndt of Algoma, Wisconsin; brothers, Edward Arndt and his wife Debra of Kenosha and David Arndt and wife Vicky of Arkdale, Wisconsin; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dale.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am until 1 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 3801 S Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381, where at 1 pm a celebration of her life will be held.
