Lisa Michelle Chandler

Lisa Michelle Chandler, age 60, passed away on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, in Houston, TX, at MD Anderson Hospital. She left this world peacefully with her husband, Jeff, by her side.

She was born on May 10th, 1965, in Lafayette, LA, to Eric Chargois and Mary (Marks) Chargois. Lisa graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a teaching degree and dedicated most of her career to working in schools.

On August 8th, 1987, she married Jeffrey Charles Chandler, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. She was the proud mother of two sons. Jeff and Lisa enjoyed serving side by side at church, and Lisa was deeply involved in Bible studies and outreach programs.

Lisa was the very definition of selfless and warm-hearted. She lived her life in service to others—both at home and in the classroom. As a teacher, she embodied the qualities that made her so special: patience, compassion, encouragement, and an unwavering belief in people. She had a gift for making others feel seen, capable, and cared for, whether they were her students or her loved ones.

Her greatest joy came from being present with the people she loved. Lisa was the one who ensured birthdays were celebrated, holidays were meaningful, and traditions were kept alive. She delighted in gathering people around the table, using food and time together as expressions of love.

She was also her family’s biggest supporter, always present at activities and events, cheering proudly and offering steady encouragement. Above all, she was a devoted wife and mother whose love was constant, generous, and unconditional.

The kindness, dedication, and nurturing spirit she displayed touched countless lives and will continue to live on through the people she taught, raised, and loved.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jeff; her children, Jonathan and his wife Sam, and David and his wife Maddie; her grandchildren, Rylee, Emerson, Marlie, Callan, and Cameron; and her brother, Rick Chargois.

The family will begin receiving friends at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Grace House Church, 3830 W Davis St, Conroe, TX 77304. The funeral services will begin at 5:00 PM. Graveside will be held privately.
