Kimberly Devonne Currie Luther, age 55, was born on April 23, 1965 in Jacinto City, Texas. We have a beautiful family full of the most loving and kind hearted people we’ve ever known; the women especially. On Friday December 4, 2020, our cornerstone Kimberly Devonne Currie Luther gained her wings while at her home surrounded by family. Kimberly had many titles in life; to her husband David Luther “a loving wife”, to her three boys: Steven, Chris, and Shane Luther “a loving mother”, to her nine grandkids “the best memaw”, to her siblings “sister”, to her many nieces and nephews “Ainney Kim”, as well as an amazing friend too many other. She loved our enormous family and hosted many family gatherings graciously and selflessly so. She was always the first person you saw when you walked in, the last when you left and no matter how big or how old you had gotten it was always a hug, a kiss, and a “hi” or “bye”.
No matter the distance between she could always bring us together. She was an amazing and beautiful woman! Although our hearts are heavy and we miss her deeply, she is no longer in pain. She left us too soon, but we know she is hosting a family gathering with our loved ones in Heaven. We love you always and forever.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents, “Paw Paw” and grandmother Taylor; uncle, Wilber Taylor; aunt, Beverly Daughtrey; and parents, Al and Nelline Hamby.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, David Luther; children: Steven and wife Melissa, Chris and Shane Luther; nine grandchildren, Donovan Luther, Hunter Luedtke, Makayla Luther, Hailey Luedtke, Cadence Luther, Brooklynn Luther, Asher Luther, Ayden Luther and Sedric Luther; siblings, Jerry and Connie Currie, Janice and Gary Cooper, Melody and Mike Ammons, Montey and Vicky Currie, Dusty Currie-Hamby, Wade and Ann Hamby, Mike and Tammy Hamby, and Renee “Nay Nay” Hamby; and her aunts, Wanda Blystone and Carol Worley; uncles, Robert Blystone and Andy Worley.
