Karen Elaine Swinney of The Woodlands, TX passed away to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by family on November 20, 2012. She was born to Jack Perry Lewis and Mary Jo Collins in Houston, TX on November 18, 1952. She graduated from Splendora High School in 1969 and then entered into the L.V. Her greatest gift, she would always say, were her three children, and she was truly blessed with her grandchildren. She was so proud of all of them. There was no greater joy than her family. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Sam Collins. She is survived by her children, Richard Mark Collins, Joseph Shane Swinney and wife Marcie, and Kacy Blaine Tonkery and fiance Clint; grandchildren, Meagen, Kirstin, Hannah and Taylor Collins, Taylor Stoy, and Brayden Riley Tonkery who is expected to be born soon; great granddaughter, Kinleigh Elaine Collins; sisters Jacquelyn Jo Villarreal (Fry) and husband Rex, Jane Claflin and husband Marvin, and Jeanette Lowe; and numerous relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Marvin Claflin, Richard Collins, Carey Jimmerson, Joseph Swinney, Joe Swinney, and Clinton Tonkery. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Rex Fry. We would like to give a special "Thank You" to a special young man named Pax at Tuscany Homes in Conroe, TX for opening his home, heart, and dedication to Karen. He is our angel from God and will forever be a part of our family. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation for your prayers and words of kindness through this journey of our lives.
