Joyce Marie Adkins

Joyce Marie Adkins, age 67 of Conroe, Texas passed away on October 1, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. She was born on January 14, 1947 in Conroe, Texas to the late John & Bernice Dennis. The youngest of five children, she was raised in The Church of Christ with her best friend Mary Buchanan. She received her LVN certificate and began working at Conroe hospital before she found her true passion in childcare work and began working at Beehive Nursery for numerous years. She married Marion “Bud” Adkins in 1978 and had three children.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Marion “Bud” Adkins; son, Adam Adkins; daughter, Rosa Adkins; sister, Catherine Morgan; and brother, Vernon Dennis. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Adkins; sister, Dorothy Dorman; brother, Johnny Dennis; “adopted” daughter, Aerial Jones; “adopted” grandchildren, Mi’cielo Jones & Alexxia Cameron; and many loving nieces and nephews and cousins.
