Joseph “Joe” Palumbo, 85, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1940, in Queens, New York, to the late Dominick and Pauline Palumbo.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard before beginning a successful career as an entrepreneur. In 1978, he and his wife, Carol, moved their young family to Texas, where Joe established an electrical contracting business that later grew into commercial property development. Known for his determination, integrity, and tireless work ethic, he built a legacy defined by both professional success and deep devotion to family.
Beyond his work, Joe enjoyed fishing, wood carving, and traveling. He especially loved spending time in St. Maarten, where he and Carol created many cherished memories together.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, in 2011; his daughter, Karen Fraley, in 2009; his sister, Betty; and his brother, Dickie.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Palumbo; son-in-law, Robert Fraley; grandchildren, Chelsea and Trey Palumbo; and Karen’s children, Tristan, Cameron, and Harper Fraley. He also leaves behind his sisters, Rene and Paulette, who will forever treasure his memory.
In honor of his wishes, Joe’s ashes will be laid to rest in St. Maarten alongside Carol’s. A celebration of life will be planned in the coming months, with details to be shared at a later date.
Joe will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend — a man who lived fully and whose legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
